The Look of Love
The Look of Love
In this lesson you will learn a finger-style chord melody arrangement of a popular composition by a prolific songwriter who initially made his mark in pop music during the 1960s. Although you don’t hear his name that much in the world of jazz standards, I personally believe he is right up there with Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Richard Rodgers and all the legendary songwriters of the 20th century. And of course I’m referring to Burt Bacharach and I chose this lovely composition of his, because of its jazzy harmony… The Look of Love!
In the YouTube video, in addition to teaching you the arrangement which I play as a bossa, I also show you ways of super simplifying it, so if this is a tune you want to learn and you feel you don’t quite have the chops to play it like me, you can still do so!
