For No One (Beatles with Coltrane Changes)

Do you like the Beatles? Do you like John Coltrane? Well, if you answered yes to both questions, this is a video lesson you absolutely must check out! As a matter of fact, even if you answered no to one of them, I think you’ll still be pleasantly surprised when you watch this lesson.

I have taken a Beatles tune and re-harmonized it with chord melody using Coltrane Changes, a la “Giant Steps” and “Countdown”. I won’t tell you what Beatles tune it is until after you’ve heard me play it on the video, because I want you to tell me if you recognize it with the new harmony. It’s not one of their better known tunes, but I’ll give you a hint….It’s off the Revolver album.
